The walk will take you from the town centre via the tower blocks of the Cité Gagarine to the Confluence district, taking in workplaces and recreational spaces as well as historical sites. On the way, your guide will introduce you to some of Ivry’s residents. Hear their remarkable stories and learn about the lives of born-and-bred locals as well as people who have settled here from other countries, and who together reflect the town’s rich diversity.

Culture brokers is a project funded by the Val-de-Marne département in partnership with Val-de-Marne Tourisme & Loisirs, the association Bastina, Paris-Descartes University, INALCO and the national museum of the history of immigration. The guided tour has been developed with the support of Fontenay-sous-Bois tourist office.

Passeurs de Culture

Seul le département du Val-de-Marne participe au financement du projet, les autres partenaires ont modestement apporté leurs compétences pour former des habitants issus des migrations à devenir les guides - passeurs de culture de leur ville. A travers leurs témoignages et leurs parcours de vie, les guides apportent un regard nouveau sur le quartier visité. Ponctuées de rencontres avec d'autres habitants ou d'acteurs de la ville, chaque balade est unique et ne ressemble ni à la précédente, ni à la suivante. Le prix de la balade sert à rémunérer le guide passeur de culture qui a suivi une formation spécifique pour mener cette balade.
Les "Passeurs de Culture" est un projet d'insertion visant à favoriser la tolérance, la découverte de l'autre et l'ouverture entre êtres humains.

pour des visites financées par tant d'organisme me semble à moi aussi un peu excessif, je vis dans un autre département
