For this 11th edition, the summer festival l’Été du canal is renewing its association with La Villette to concoct a program called “From plate to screen”.  Following an original cruise you will see a movie on a big screen on the occasion of cinema in the open air.

Hop on board with Mamie Foodie for a cruise on the canal de l’Ourcq around typical French cuisine to taste the delicious and genuine recipes of our grandmothers and grandfathers. Papy Gilles will cook you fresh and light summer food specialties, then you will discover the love affairs of Ismaël, Julie, Alice and Erwan, characters from the movie Les chansons d’amour.

On the menu: chicken with lemon and olives with semolina and for dessert, a summer fruit pie washed down with fresh citronade.

  • Departs at 7:30 pm from Bassin de La Villette (6 quai de Seine)
  • Arrives at 9 pm in the park of La Villette, a few steps from the Folie L5
  • Movie projection around 10:30 pm

The price includes: the cruise, the meal (main dish and dessert), one drink, a deckchair and a plaid for the movie (subject to availability).

French movie with no English subtitles.
