Opened on January 15th 1894, the first boutique quickly became a success! The facade of the building has different styles according the several enlargements: Haussmann, Art Nouveau, Art Deco… In the center of this art heritage is the neo-byzantine dome, the heart of the place.

First dedicated to fashion, Galeries Lafayette now diversifies its offering: men clothing, furniture, toys, tableware, beauty products, etc... You can now find iconic French brands at Galeries Lafayette such as Yves Saint-Laurent, Daniel Hechter or Pierre Cardin...

Through the guided visit, you will wander in the alleys of the large store to discover more about the story of this incredible place and take the private elevators leading to the panoramic terrace on which Jules Védrines landed with his plane in 1919.
