A guided tour makes you discover the lovely house of Chateaubriand, situated a few kilometres from Paris.
Chateaubriand moved to the Vallée-aux-Loups in 1807 and made his own personal mark on the charm of this romantic charterhouse.
The authentic décor, furniture, paintings and caryatids evoke the life and literary and political career of the author of Memoirs from Beyond the Grave. The house is surrounded by a magnificent park which offers a variety of landscapes.
Inspired by his travels, the writer planted the garden himself, including crocuses, Lebanese cedars, Greek plane trees, tulips and American magnolias.
