Urban agriculture with social, economic and ecological benefits, is possible ! The association « Paysan urbain », an urban agro-ecological farm settled in Romainville since July 2015,actor of the fresh new urban farming phenomenon is economically viable and socially responsible.
The Paysan Urbain produces micro-greens in a parcel of land in a part of town in full expansion : the district called « ZAC de l'Horloge ». A genuine concentration of energy and flavours, these micro-greens come in trays that can be placed anywhere, even in your home.
This is a first experience as it involves a temporary installation on an urban brownfield awaiting a permenant project. Discover the processes driving this new generation agriculture and how its application can be easy (including its educational vegetable patch and chicken coop). The approach of the association is to produce organic food, to distribute fresh products to local markets. It also aims to create jobs as as instrument to achieve social inclusion, to raise environmental awareness and to create links with the rural farmers.
In case of last minute reservation (Friday 12h), print out your receipt, it will be requested before the visit.
