Visit the Shiva temple in La Courneuve where you’ll see the daily celebration of « pooja » to the sound of bells. This visit is the opportunity to share a moment with the Tamil (Hindu) community.
After a few more minutes on foot you will come across another place of worship, another culture, another language : the Sikh temple in Le Bourget. The Sikhs will welcome you in their Gurdwara temple where you’ll discover music and devotional songs. You’ll then taste a chai tea and other spicy suprises in the kitchen of the community.
This visit, that concentrates on indian cooking is led by Raphaëlle Gras from the association ANARDANA. Another guided tour is proposed in Paris, from the passage Brady to la Chapelle which focuses more on the history of migration from the Indian subcontinent.
