As part of l'Été du canall and the 200th anniversary of the Ourcq Canal, embark from the Bassin de La Villette to Bondy, the cruise will drop you off in the Parc de La Villette. Your guide will tell you the history of the canal, its transformations and its projects.
Between past, present and future, on the water, follow our guide through the eras and the life of the canal.
From the boat, rediscover the storage warehouses, the Grands Moulins, the old leather hall, the Magasins généraux, or the old Pouchard factories.
Understand how these buildings have been transformed, and observe the different mutations around the 93: the new districts of Bobigny and Noisy-le-Sec, the redevelopment of the Motobécane wasteland which is transformed into the Prairie du Canal until the end of the summer, without forgetting the lines of the Grand Paris Express.
You will discover the transformations of the canal in the Plaine de l'Ourcq sector, which includes no less than five Zones d'Aménagement Concertées (ZACs): Port de Pantin, Horloge in Romainville, Ecocité canal de l'Ourcq in Bobigny, Quartier durable de la Plaine de l'Ourcq in Noisy-le-Sec, Rives de l'Ourcq in Bondy.
The boat will turn around at the Bondy bridge to bring you back to the Parc de la Villette, passing by the Parc de la Bergère and its protected fauna, the Centre national de la Danse and its terrace above the water, the Jardin 21 and its shared vegetable garden.
The cruise is commented by François Cellier. After studying history and foreign languages, François Cellier naturally turned to the profession of guide. More interested in cycling and boating than Navigo, he specializes in the rivers and streams of Paris, working on tourist boats, and likes to go for a ride on his old bicycle in his free time.
