Dancer and choreographer, former member of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, Foofwa d’Imbolilité is also the enfant terrible of contemporary Swiss dance. He has invented a hybrid activity, pairing dance and walking, the dancewalk. For the dance Biennale, he has proposed a pathway that follows the old railroad tracks that joined the Paris-Bastille station to the south-east region of Paris. On the fourth day, the public is invited to walk or dance the final 4km of the green path called Tégéval. On arrival, the participants will be able to “vegetate” in the middle of magnificent plants and flowers in the departmental greenhouses of Mandres-les-Roses.
