The mermaid of the Ourcq canal : concert-cruise of harmonic music

On the occasion of the beginning of the summer holidays, Seine-Saint-Denis Tourisme and La Sirène are collaborating to organize the acoustic musical cruise as part of Eté du Canal: Along the Ourcq.

Created in 1874, La Sirène is one of the oldest amateur independant harmony orchestra of Paris. A harmony orchestra is a band only composed of wind instruments and drums. This musical institution has always been willing to promote a diversity of musical style, popular musical education and an amateur practice of music.

During this cruise you will sail on the Guêpe Buissonnière for a musical and aquatic journey of about 1 hour. Then you will disembark at the Port de loisirs of Bobigny where the circus collective La Défriche will collaborate with the orchestra to propose a circus and music festival.

The concert is composed of several rearranged pieces of music of different eras and styles all on the theme of water and travelling.
