Since it opened in 1931, the Porte Dorée tropical aquarium has been a showcase for a huge range and variety of tropical aquatic animals.

The tanks of the aquarium house more than 15,000 animals representing 750 species. See how some species have adapted to survive in their specific environments. You will see air-breathing fish, electric fish, alligators (including the famous albino alligators), piranhas, coral reefs and much more. This guided tour of our collection is an educational and entertaining way of helping visitors of all ages to understand and appreciate the importance of biodiversity.
