As a part of the Été du Canal festival, enjoy a round trip guided cruise from the Bassin de la Villette to the Bondy bridge to discover the intense relationship between street art and the Ourcq canal. The street-art cruises of July 16 and July 30 are translated in FSL (French Sign Language).
Full of frescoes and anecdotes about the universe of graffiti, the Ourcq canal is a place where street artists from the north-east of Paris and other parts of the world can express themselves freely.
This 2h cruise will be guided by Thomasine Zoler the mediator of MUR93 or Nicolas Obadia the stencil artist who will introduce you to the technical, stylistic and discursive diversity of urban art, you will discover the works located between the Bassin de la Villette and Bondy.
To name a few, as you arrive near the Crimée lift bridge, discover how Marko93 created his work Sarah, the Jaguar charmer, on the side of the barge La Grande Fantaisie, in only five days; In Pantin, the monumental portrait of the Chinese empress Dengju reveals a hidden secret at Chez Agnès, while the relaxed silhouette of Marion Cotillard invites you to relax and enjoy summer; further on, the "wall" of Bobigny has long been the testing ground for graffiti artists; finally, the fresco of Batsh "Regarde-Moi"will not leave you indifferent as you arrive near the Bondy bridge.
The works were created on barges, factories, building facades, workshops or cultural places, under bridges or on gable walls, transforming the Ourcq canal into a real open-air museum.
Embark at the Bassin de la Villette and hop off at the Parc de la Villette. The boat will turn around at the Bondy bridge.
