Montreuil and Méliès movie tour

Description

We'll rediscover the city with Georges Méliès, from the "Le Méliès" cinema to the site of his former studios in Montreuil, while also paying tribute to other figures of Paris cinema such as Emile Reynaud, the inventor of animated films, and the directors of the Pathé-Albatros studios. Last but not least, we'll see that Montreuil is still a location for films and French series.

This exploration of the origins of cinema will, of course, be illustrated with photos and clips on our tablet.

When you hear "Paris in the movies", images and stories immediately come to mind. Ciné-Balade was born from the desire to show and tell them. A film historian, Juliette Dubois launched the Ciné-Balade concept in 2011 with the aim of using cinema as a way to rediscover Paris and its cultural heritage.

Other Cine-balades tours include a visit of the Père Lachaise cemetery and a Paris Saint Ouen flea market guided movie tour.

If you are a fan of movie-themed tours in Paris and the surrounding area, check out all of Juliette Dubois's visits on Explore Paris.
