Climb up the arch of the Parisian Wall Street to discover a new perception of the city. You’ll see the historical axe of Paris that goes passed the jardin des Tuileries, the Mont Valérien, the new Paris Arena of La Defense. It is an ideal visit to have a 360° view of the Parisian west.
The journey towards the sky starts in unique glass elevators that give a great panomarical view. From the rooftop, a bridge between sky and earth, you’ll learn about the history of the district of La Défense as much as about its urbanization and its most famous towers.
The visit will then take you to the Grande Arche, a monument inaugurated in 1989, where you will understand how was planned the project of it and its architecture. This visit finishes on a little presentation of the photojournalism exhibition now standing inside the roof and in which you will be able to go freely.
From December 19th to March 22nd 2020, an exhibition dedicated to street art artist Cyril Kongo will take place on the roof of the Arch, so you can enjoy it during the guided tour on February.
Cyril Kongo has largely contributed to defend graffiti as a school of painting in its own right and to break codes to better rebuild through his avant-garde look. His multicultural influences and his ability to create connections between worlds apart have shaped his career and his style. Kongo is part of the first generation of Paris graffiti artists.
Organized with the Département des Hauts-de-Seine.
